The Board of Directors of Regensyn Energy is primarily comprised of Executives from the Partnership companies G2 and SES. They are responsible and accountable for all strategy and operations of the partnership.

Charles “Chas” Roemer

Chairman of the Board

Charles E. “Chas” Roemer, IV has a unique background in public service and leadership in successful business ventures.  He serves as CEO of RRM & Co dba Chas Roemer Innovations (CRI), an investment and business development company located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  CRI has a broad range of interests ranging from artificial intelligence to traditional banking to energy.

He helped found the largest start-up bank in Louisiana history, B1Bank, traded on the Nasdaq (BFST). He was a groundbreaker and leader in the national senior housing industry, serving as senior vice-president and board member of CRSA — one of the leading developers and managers of senior housing with $2 billion + in projects across the U.S. He was a founding investor in Qylur a leading security firm pioneering in the use of AI to make the world both more secure and freer. His latest venture, G2Net Zero, will deliver a profitable portfolio of uniquely differentiated energy technologies emphasizing clean and efficient energy.

Chas’ public service includes two terms as a state elected member on The Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education. During those eight years – three leading as president of the board – Louisiana established innovative programs for workforce development, instituted school letter grades, and established the highest quality charter school network in the United States.

In 2012, Chas was named as one of the twelve people to watch by the Baton Rouge Business Report and was recognized as one of Baton Rouge’s top 40 businesspersons under the age of 40 in 2001 and has continued to be recognized as one of the region’s most influential business and thought leaders.

Chas graduated with honors from Harvard University in 1992 and has served on numerous nonprofit boards and is currently the President of the Baton Rouge Community College Foundation Board.

He has enjoyed 25 years of marriage to Tena Roemer and they have two children, Adeline age 24, and Charles age 22.

Darrell Poteet

Director and CEO

Mr. Poteet is the CEO and Board member of Regensys Energy. He also serves as the CEO and Board member for Sovereign Energy Services. He has more than 40 years of experience in strategic planning, contractual arrangements, profit and loss, operations, business and project development and technical/engineering management within rapid growth, start-up, and international environments.

Darrell has played a leading role in the development and marketing of new products and services supporting high-tech applications.

He holds three patents and has successfully brought innovative products to the marketplace.

Mr. Poteet earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University, a Master of Business Administration from Houston Baptist University, and is a Professional Engineer registered in the state of New Hampshire.

Charles “Chuck” Gordon

Director, Regensyn Energy
General Counsel, G2 Net-Zero LNG LLC

Chuck graduated from Louisiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1991. He then worked for one year at Ernst & Young in audit, during which he passed the Certified Public Accountant examination. After this, Chuck attended Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center from which he graduated in 1995 with a juris doctorate degree.

The vast majority of Chuck’s private law practice was as a partner at Preis Gordon APLC in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  While in private practice, he concentrated in business and corporate law, including providing legal counsel to companies across various industries, such as private equity, chemical manufacturing, and distribution.

His experience included serving as lead counsel or co-lead counsel on numerous multi-million transactions, such as

  • representing the purchaser of a chemical manufacturing facility;
  • representing numerous purchasers of commercial real estate properties;
  • representing owners in commercial real estate construction agreements
  • representing the sellers of various petrochemical service companies;
  • representing borrowers in secured and unsecured loan facilities; and
  • representing private equity funds in business purchases and investments.

Chuck also had an extensive commercial litigation practice, serving as lead counsel or co-lead counsel in numerous trials and arbitration proceedings, including multi-week construction defect litigation and securities fraud litigation.

After representing G2 from inception in private practice, Chuck joined the G2 team in 2021.  He uses his experience to oversee G2’s legal affairs, including corporate governance and corporate and regulatory compliance.  In addition, he utilizes his accounting background to assist the G2’s executive team with all capital market transactions, construction and engineering agreements, supply agreements and sales agreements.

Chuck is on the Board of Directors of Regensyn Energy, where is chairs both the Finance and Governance Committees.

Jay Guillot

Director

Mr. Guillot is a Regensyn Energy Board Member and a Hunt, Guillot and Associates (HGA) founding partner.   He is a team-oriented leader with 40-plus years of experience spanning Program Management, Owners Representative Services and Muti-discipline Engineering.   He has broad large project experience across the Industrial, Public and Private Sectors.

His expertise spans the entire project delivery system from inception through construction, across multiple business sectors. Engineering News Record recently ranked the HGA business line he developed in the Top 50 U.S.-based Program Management Companies. Mr. Guillot understands client challenges and has a proven track record as a senior executive in building organizations and managing billion-dollar plus projects.

Joe Reeble

Director

Mr. Reeble is a Board member of Regensys and also serves as an independent Director for Sovereign Energy Services and serves as a senior technical advisor. He has over 45 years of engineering and executive management experience in energy, oil & gas, computer systems, commercial and military aerospace, and nuclear reactor systems industries.

He holds a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering, and an MS in Management. Until the end of 2021, Mr. Reeble was the major shareholder and CEO of GasTech Engineering in Tulsa, OK.

He now holds Board seats in a variety of industries including healthcare, education, energy, community housing, and urban development. His primary business focuses on scaling small to mid-sized businesses.
